Right from the start we decided on the centuries-old technique of bead crocheting: at first, each 2mm small Bohemian glass bead is threaded onto fine thread. In a second step, each bead is individually linked. The result is a regular and extremely stable, resistant fabric made of beads, characterized by its soft feel and its bright colors. There is no waste during production, every single bead can be reused and lasts for thousands of years.
In a necklace from the Trinity line (on the right in the picture) 2800 beads are processed.
After the beadwork made by the artisans in Togo arrives in Vienna, the final production – attaching clasps and ear hooks – takes place in the studio in Vienna’s third district.
